WORKSHOPS
International Architecture Workshop Chile 2026

During the second half of 2026, Santiago, Chile, will host an international architecture workshop bringing together students, academics, and professionals to explore the relationship between territory, culture, and contemporary architectural practice.
The workshop will feature the participation of renowned Icelandic architect Dagur Eggertsson, founding partner of Rintala Eggertsson Architects, one of Northern Europe’s most influential architectural practices, internationally recognized for its innovative, sustainable, and site-specific approach to design.
Organized in collaboration with the University of Chile, the program will include lectures, design studios, site visits, discussions, and collaborative activities involving students, faculty members, and invited professionals. The workshop aims to create a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This initiative will foster a meaningful dialogue between Chile, Iceland, and Norway, encouraging the exchange of architectural ideas, cultural perspectives, and design methodologies. Through direct interaction and collaborative work, participants will explore how architecture can respond to social, environmental, and cultural challenges in diverse contexts.
By combining academic research, practical experience, and international collaboration, the workshop seeks to inspire new approaches to design and strengthen connections between emerging architects and leading practitioners from different parts of the world.
The event represents a unique opportunity to promote international cooperation, cultural exchange, and innovation in architecture, while reinforcing the role of education and design as catalysts for a more sustainable and resilient future.
